Deans are able to nominate one master’s degree candidate and one doctoral or professional degree candidate from their schools every year. If you are a faculty or staff member and would like to nominate a student, please discuss the candidate with the dean of your school. Each school may nominate one currently enrolled master’s degree student and one student pursuing a doctoral or professional degree for consideration to receive the Sherry Queener Graduate Student Excellence Award. Must include a letter of nomination from the dean or dean’s designee, not to exceed three (3) pages in length. The letter should clearly address the excellent nature of the student’s work and must outline relevant accomplishments of the nominee.
One (1) additional letter of support from the student’s mentor, department chair, or other appropriate person, not to exceed three (3) pages in length.
Department representative may submit an unofficial transcript from SIS for the nominee.
